The Scoubidou Site

This page is all about the small scoubidou projects. These include animals, presents and party gifts. You will need:

1. Scoubidou Strands

2. Thin bendable wire

3. Scissors

4. Patience

5. Googly eyes

6. Pencil

Party Faces

 

Party Faces are great gifts and decorations for all occations. They can be also made into party favours if you have the time.

 

You will need:

• 15 cm of thin bendable wire

• Another 8 cm of thin bendable wire

• 3 scoubidou strands

• 2 Googly eyes

• Felt

​

1. Start off with a loop and a start knot.

2. Tie 1 knot. Don't pull it too tight.

3. Thread the wire in the loose knot and tighten the knot.

4. Knot until the strands are short, but they should have some length to make the hair.

5. End it off, but add some more short strands in to have more hair. 

6. Cut wire so that it fits in the hair.

7. Bend the face and tie it up with a very short scoubidou strand. Bend it into a tear drop shape.

8. Thread an 8 cm piece of scoubidou strand onto the 8 cm piece of wire.

9. Bend the 8 cm piece around a pencil so that it looks like glasses.

10. Glue circular pieces of felt on the back of the glasses. Your googly eyes stick on here.

11. Glue the googly eyes on the felt inside the glasses.

12. Glue your glasses on the tear drop shaped face.​

13. Your Party Face is ready!

Helecopter

 

The helecopter is fairly easy to make. You can make small bottles with the same tecnique. Let me show you how!

 

1. Start with or without a loop.

2. Knot 5 cm and turn the knotted work upside down and knot over the knotted part.

3. Knot 2 cm upside down. 

4. Face all of the strands upwards. Carefully make a knot, and make sure it is nicely arranged. Make 2 knots.

5. The ends can be cut to 2 cm. DO NOT DO AN END KNOT!

6. To make a bottle, do the same as the helecopter, but don't face the srands off. You MUST do an end knot.
